Jon-man and Becca's wedding, The Place, Manchester.

I have recently blogged this lovely couple's engagement photos and told the story of how they got together, well now, here are their wedding photos! It was held at The Place apartment hotel in Manchester. The beautiful peacock theme (vibrant purples, blues and pinks) was absolutely stunning and when I saw the fairy lights wrapped around each pillar at the reception I smiled big time!!

Becca got ready in Didsbury at a friend's house after having her hair done just round the corner at John Yate's hairdresser's on Didsbury high street. This was a lovely place to be as a photographer on the morning of a wedding because it is so full of light and space! The ceremony was then held at Ivy church, Barlowmoor Road, Didsbury which is a great church to photograph in and I was helped by the very talented Hannah Beatrice who took some of the lovely shots of Becca at the front of the church.

We then traveled to Castlefield which is one of my all time favourite places to shoot couples and families. We took loads of photos as they were all such willing models and got back in our cars so happy we'd taken the time to stop. It's such a lovely time between newly wed man and wife just after the ceremony and a shoot like this gives them a short bit of time together to just stop and take stock of what they have just done!

We then drove to The Place in Manchester city centre to start the afternoon/evening celebrations. Because of Jon-man's roots they chose to perform a traditional tea ceremony in the afternoon which was beautiful and the first one I had experienced. This was followed by incredible food, laughter during the speeches and dancing well into the night. I think you will agree that this wedding is a stunning one full of colour and originality. I hope you enjoy the photos :)

I LOVE these cufflinks!

A happy Daddy as he sees his daughter for this first time!

A beautiful moment between Father and Daughter..it's these moments I usually get quite teary and have to work harder to focus my camera!! Thanks for capturing it Hannah

Now do you see why I LOVE this place!

Becca needed no encouragement to pose with this fun umbrella!

The stunning architecture of The Place is clear in this photo and is one reason why so many choose it for their wedding or city break!

The tea ceremony was beautiful and very touching.

Becca disappeared at one point to change into traditional clothing...this dress is stunning and suited her perfectly!

Thanks for looking...see you again soon

Jon-man and Becca engagement shoot, Fog Lane park, Didsbury, Manchester.

This blog is a long time coming, I may have said it before but I've recently become a mum and cut down on my photography considerably while getting used to (and thoroughly enjoying!!) my new role! Well, I am ashamed to say that I have A LOT of engagements, family shoots and weddings to blog that I haven't yet. I hope you enjoy looking at these photos, and you may see as I blog more that my style has changed a little over the past year!

I love hearing how my couples met and fell in love and Jon-man and Becca's was a very sweet story! They hung out with a group of friends at their infamous 'chicken nights' where loads of chicken would be cooked and consumed. This enabled them to slowly fall for each other without too many people noticing!! I love their story of a growing friendship that turned into love...as you can see from the magnet in the first photo, chicken dinners still mean a lot to them!

The swings they are sitting on in Fog Lane park, Didsbury, were where Jon-man asked Becca to be his wife. It means so much to the couple going back to where they got engaged, or maybe a park or area they love going to together and this swing meant exactly that....lots of lovely memories! We also got to walk around their local market in Withington, Manchester and ended up buying lots of yummy cupcakes (mmmmm, good memories for me too, hehe!!)

I will be posting their wedding very soon which was held at The Place, Manchester with a perfect purple theme and traditional tea ceremony...beautiful!

Thanks for looking!
