Iain & Laura's Wedding, Great John street hotel.

I felt very honored to be shooting this wedding. When I was told how they found and decided to book me I was brimming from ear to ear! They both trawled through the internet for wedding photographers in the North West, then got it down to their 10 favourite...they both went away and chose which they liked best, and BOTH chose me as their favourite...wow, thanks guys, you made me smile lots with that story!!

When I first talked to Laura about her wedding to Iain, it ticked all the right boxes as a photographer...Great John Street hotel for the intimate wedding and reception, gorgeous ruffled dress from Brides of Leigh designed by Mark Lesley. The Men were to be wearing traditional Scottish kilts, and there was family traveling from all over the world to witness them getting married.

I was not disappointed at all, and had so much fun from start to finish with Iain and Laura...from their pre-wedding shoot in Castlefield, to the end of the wedding day and being shown what these Scots wore under their kilts, I had loads of fun! (Thanks for the Finnish chocolates too...delicious!)

I love spending a little time with the Groomsmen just before the service, they can be very nervous at this time, but usually it's a great way to get rid of those nerves and have fun with your mates!!

What a lovely way to be welcomed into your room...chocolate, rose petals on the bed and the most beautiful dress hanging up in the wardrobe!! Although we never made it to the hot tub :(

These gorgeous invitations were from Wedding Paper Divas and the beautiful jewelry was from Ernest Jones and H Samuel I do particularly love pearls on a bride as it's so simple and timeless, yet so decadent.

These gorgeous flowers were created by Forget Me Not designer florists, and hair and make-up was done by Lee Bracek Hairdressers.

Then it was time to leave the Ms Lepikko behind and become Mrs Phimister!
English is not Laura's first language, yet she did an amazing job of the vows :)

..I had to get one of those gorgeous shoes..the colours were gorgeous at this wedding, and as you may know, I love to captured the fun and colour that the bride and groom so carefully plan.

Then to the speeches!!

One of Laura's favourite family wedding traditions is to stamp the floor as soon as the knife reaches the bottom of the cake...I think you can see from these pictures that Laura was the winner!!

...and to finish off, some of my favourite Groom and groomsmen pictures of the day (I won't show you the moment I found out what they were wearing under their kilts...this is a U certificate blog!!)
